Oh dear...

I went for another 5km run the other day (last Wednesday) and I had to stop part way through and walk a little bit. How disappointing! I think the Cookie Time cookie that I munched just before heading out may have been the culprit....or the fact that it had been 10 days since I last went running??? (Probably the latter...).

I felt really bad for Jacqui and Rachelle (my running mates) as they also stopped and walked with me...they would not have stopped if I hadn't first.

We are running again tomorrow. This time around Hagley Park (both north and south parks). I haven't yet managed to do the entire park without stopping.

Have been getting lots of advice from friends...some say to keep increasing the length each time, some say to do same length but try to go faster each time, others say to add some hill work, and others say to run each day rather than 2-3 times a week. Hmmm...so much advice...???

Have been neglecting my gym membership for the last couple of weeks...usually I go before heading to school. The Bishopdale YMCA is great for this....they are close to work, new equipment, everyone is friendly, enough equipment and lovely showers. I had also thought I could go for small runs in the morning before school too, but I have been opting to sleep in for another 40 minutes instead...I know!!!! How LAZY am I???

As of Tuesday...back to the gym (or a small run)!

Another 40 mins of sleep or getting up for a run....hmmm...I know which one I'd be choosing!!!

Aaah! Cookie Time cookies... Wish I had a bucket or two of those lying around! ;) Good on you for setting your goals... I'm still battling my addiction to hangovers :(
