Lest we forget...

Woke up early yesterday morning and attended the Anzac Dawn service with Mum and Dad. Quite touching to be at the service...haven't been to one since my girl guide days.
Dad told a story about his Uncle Leslie (my grandfathers younger brother) who was too young to go to the war, but he got his mother (my great grandmother) to sign the paper to allow him to go to war. He died there...and apparently my great grandmother died soo after (maybe of heartache for allowing her son to go to war???) Imagine going to fight at the war at 16-17 years of age...actually imagine going at all!!

Later, on Anzac day I went for another bike ride (this time around the outskirts of Waimate...didn't take too long!) and returned the bike to Pauline - thanks Pauline! I am seriously considering buying myself a bike now.

I went for a run this morning around Hagley Park...a bit tough...for some reason Earth seems to have forgotton which season it is...it is already 23 degrees! I shouldn't complain...

Have one more run left before going to Hanmer Springs Camp this week...wonder how I will go when running with Kristie??? She will crack the whip, for sure!

7 days until the 15 km run at Tai Tapu...oh dear
