As well as can be expected.

This morning, I ran the 15km Tai Tapu run.

I got a time of 1hr 42 mins...which I was (and am still) disappointed in. This year I managed to run all of the run and I still got a slower time than last year (when I walked some of it)...so my running must be slower than my walking???
Anyway, it still feels good having completed a run, especially on such a nice Sunday morning.

Some colleagues from school also ran the run. Catherine is a super runner (last year she did the SBS Full Marathon) and this morning she got a finishing time of 1hr 17mins. Juliette was amazing too. She ran with me the whole way...I think she felt sorry for me...I'm sure she could have run off and got a better time, but apparently she was enjoying the pace I was setting (how polite). I have to admit, it was really nice to have someone running with me...especially the last two km...Juliette had to use her grumpy voice and crack the whip! Thanks, Juliette.

Catherine, myself and Juliette (at the start)

Good grief...I look exhausted!!!
So...I didn't beat my goal time, or last year's time...but I did run it...Shane, does that count??? (Shane, my principal, was going to donate $20 to the charity of my choice if I beat my goal).

Also, a big thank you to my lovely boyfriend who drove Juliette and I to Tai Tapu, hung around while we ran, and drove us home again. He is an angel! Love ya, honey!

Well done - at least you did it AND you kept running. Sounds like a success to me!

Good luck for your training - not long to go until the next one, really :)

Well done indeed. I know you are disappointed with your time, but just to keep running for that distance is something to be proud of! That was better than last year! And who can say, maybe the weather played a part, eh?

Keep it up, my friend. You will reach your goals!

P.S. Your boyfriend is a cutie.
