Hooray for Sarah!

Just wanted to congratulate my friend Sarah Laugesen who completed the St Clair Vineyard hybrid half-marathon yesterday. Her time was 2hr 51min 56sec...great run! Congratulations!

It looked like a fabulous day to run. Sarah is the runner on the left (white top).
Also, to answer a question from my friend, Jennifer. I only enter in three major runs a year (Christchurch City to Surf 12km, Tai Tapu 15km, and Christchurch SBS Half-Marathon 21km) which are between March and June. This year, however, I added the Timaru Hadlow to Harbour 10km...just as a training run. I'm not a fanatical runner...where I put myself in danger running...in fact I spend most of my time talking myself out of running...plus...I really don't look like a runner (though my calves are looking much more shapely this year! LOL). Training for the half-marathon (which is in 4 weeks time) I am running 4-5 km 4x a week with a 10km run in the weekends.

Anyway...have not done my 10km run yet this weekend. I am supposed to be running to Malcolm's this afternoon (my car is there), but it is hot and sunny! I hate running in the heat. I will do some school work for a bit....then force myself to run anyway.
