stink

I am beginning to smell vary bad odours outside. Every now and then there is a waft of sewage...oh dear!

My aunty and cousins who live in New Brighton (where there is a lot of damage and still no power/water) are on their way for some relief.

They will charge their cell phones, watch some of the events unfold on tv, use some boiled water to have a sponge bath, collect some boiled water to take home, and enjoy some company with a cuppa. I already have scone dough ready to bake. They would rather return back to their home afterwards...even though they have no power or water.

Malcolm's Surprise Party: this was planned for Saturday night (he turns 40) but due to recent events we will postpone it until later in March. A bit disappointing...but it has to be done. Don't worry about spoiling the surprise for later...Malcolm never reads this blog anyway...not to my knowledge anyway :)
