I had my fitness assessment at pioneer gym tonight. The trainer, Glen, was nice enough and has put me on a programme specifically aimed at toning, plus lengthening my running stride. I have to do things like a Peterson step, crunches, lunges, pulldowns, press ups etc...I found some of them quite tricky...but I am sure after a while it will be ok. Glen had a look at my running style, and noticed the same thing as my last trainer (from YMCA) noticed, that my knees turn inwards when running. This means I have to strengthen the muscle just above my knee cap on the inside (he had a fancy name for it).
So, may the gym going seriously begin...hoping to go to zumba tomorrow night.
What I ate today:
Breakfast - CS shake (chocolate), glass of water
Morning tea - black coffee
Lunch - CS milk drink (chocolate)
Afternoon tea - CS snack bar (choc mint crunch - these are my favourite!)
Tea - Casseur chicken, carrots, cabbage (yummy...thanks Malcolm!)
Supper - about to have a peppermint tea
